Hi,
I am Mrs. Anderson. I am so glad that you are in my class this year. I have been teaching at VCS since 2002- so since the beginning. I firmly believe in our program and am dedicated to your success. I graduated from Wright State University with a BS in Secondary English Education. I hold a valid teaching license in the State of Ohio. I am also a "Highly Qualified Teacher". I have been teaching since 1998 and I started out in a traditional classroom. After I became a mom, I made the transition to a virtual classroom to allow more flexibility in my work schedule. I was so impressed with the quality of education provided by VCS that I enrolled my own children as students. I believe that every student can be successful. One of the best things about my job is watching my students conquer obstacles and take the steps necessary to have a bright future. Your education is team effort between myself, you- the student, and your family. My best piece of advice is don't let anything stand in your way of building the future and life you want. My dad was a very wise man and he always taught me that you should live each day and be able to look in the mirror and say you did your best. If you can do that, then nothing will stop you from dreaming big. Let me know how I can help you achieve your dreams!

FAQ's about me:
I get asked some great questions about myself all the time, so here are the answers:
1. Where do you live?
Answer: I live in a small town in the Dayton Area. I moved here in 1989 and graduated in 1994. My husband also moved here as a young child. When we got married we decided this would be our home and where we wanted to raise our family.
2. How many kids do you have?
Answer: I have four great kids. Hailey is 13 and loves to dance. Caleb is 9 and is really into video games and martial arts. Hannah is 5 and loves soccer and dance. Our youngest is Hope and she is 3. She loves anything that has to do with the movie "Frozen".
3. Why did you decide to become a teacher?
Answer: From the time I was 10, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had a really great 5th grade teacher who thought outside the box and really inspired me to become a teacher. As I grew up, I had many other inspiring teachers who further confirmed that being a teacher was what I wanted to do.
4. What is your favorite color, food, animal, hobby, and vacation spot?
Answer: My favorite color is royal blue. My favorite food is homemade apple pie. My favorite animal is a polar bear. My hobbies include baking, photography, and spending time with my amazing family. Finally, my favorite vacation spots are Disneyworld, Daytona Beach, and Gatlinburg.
